Recently on this blog, we covered the latest trends for HP and Dell in ecommerce sales. Demand for these products has been surging on the world’s largest ecommerce site.

From the dates of April 1 2009 to June 29 2009, the top three models by volume for both manufacturers are shown below in descending order:

These sales numbers represent the combined sales of new, refurbished and used computers. Dell models sold highest in volume, but low in average selling price ranging from $221 to $547. HP’s top three models were sold low in volume but high in average selling price ranging from $378 to $760. A much larger percentage of HP laptops are traded in brand new condition, while the demand for Dell laptops lies mostly in used and refurbished laptops.
