June 21st, 2010 | No Comments | Posted in Company Blog

Advanced Ecommerce Research Systems (Advanced) is pleased to announce the hiring of its new Chief Operating Officer and Executive Vice President, Colin How. Advanced specializes in delivering ecommerce based analytics and insight to support the investment, product management, marketing, and advertising decisions of its thousands of clients. Advanced has a reputation for working with very large data sets and translating them into valuable market insight. The company was founded in 2004.  With the recent launch of Terapeak for PayPal, and the continued success of Terapeak for eBay, How has quickly become a strong addition to Advanced’s management team.

Advanced is fortunate to have such a seasoned leader and businessperson joining its ranks. Colin is the former Managing Partner of Applied Human Capital Inc., and there he became versed in strategic planning, organizational design, and the development of high performance leadership teams. Colin has long been an active angel investor and is the former president of the Entrepreneur Organization’s Victoria chapter. Colin’s accomplishments have also earned him acclaim as a finalist for the Ernst & Young Emerging Entrepreneur of the Year award. Further recognition came to How when he was listed in the Top 40 Under 40 twice for Vancouver Island and British Columbia. Colin holds a Master’s Degree in Leadership and Training from Royal Roads University.

In addition to his professional achievements, How donates his time as the Executive Director of Raft Cove Charitable Society, an organization devoted to finding a cure for childhood cancer.

Advanced welcomes Colin – he is a decorated leader whose experiences will play a pivotal role in the company’s continued success.
