Ian H. Stewart: - Chairman of the Board Ian H. Stewart, Q.C. is a retired member of the Law Society of British Columbia, President of Appin Investments Limited., and other B.C. companies. Mr. Stewart is a former alderman of the City of Victoria, a former member and longtime Chair of the Board of Governors of the University of Victoria, an Honorary Patron of the University of Victoria, a past member of the British Columbia Achievement Foundation, President of Metrocan Holdings Limited doing business as Honda City the largest Honda Dealership on Vancouver Island, a director of Thirfty Foods of Victoria and is a past president of the BC Automobile Dealers Association. He is a well known community leader in Victoria and has been actively involved with many charitable and philanthropic organizations. Mr. Stewart has a long record of service as a director of many other Canadian companies including Rogers Communications Inc. He is a recipient of the Commemorative Medal for the 125th Anniversary of the Confederation of Canada, The Order of St. John, and the Queens Jubilee Medal. Mr. Stewart holds BA and LLB degrees from the University of British Columbia and an Honorary Doctor of Laws Degree from the University of Victoria. |

Rhys T. Eyton: - Chairman of the Audit Committee Mr. Eyton is a corporate director and currently serves as a director of the Vancouver International Airport Authority, Trimac Transportation Services Inc., and as a trustee of Trimac Income Fund and the Canadian Hotel Income Properties Real Estate Investment Trust. His clients include a wide range of public and private organizations, such as major crown corporations, universities, colleges, and national companies in the retail and service sectors. Since 1999 he has been a senior advisor on strategy for the CEO of Hudson's Bay Company. He has assisted these organizations by developing strategies to improve capacity, sustainability, and market position. David H. McMillan: - Chairman of the Compensation Committee Mr. McMillan is the recently retired Chief Executive Officer of Island Farms Dairies Ltd., a position he held for 14 years. He attended the University of British Columbia and has accumulated over 30 years experience as a senior executive in organization and management in the packaged food industry and as the Chief Executive Officer of a number of significant Canadian companies including Associated Biscuits of America and William Nielson Limited. Currently Mr. McMillan serves on the board of Jace Holdings Limited doing business as Thrifty Foods, the largest food retailer on Vancouver Island, B.C. Robin H. French: - Board Member Mr. French's background is in the motion picture and TV industry. He attended the California Institute of Technology in California, is a member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, and has an honorable discharge from the United States Marine Corps. His career began in artist's management, as the co-founder of The Hugh French Agency, Inc. and the Executive VP of its successor company, Chartwell Artists Ltd. In order, he later served as the VP in charge of domestic production for Paramount Pictures, President of Distribution for Tandem/TAT Productions, Chairman of Hal Roach Studios, and founder/president of a private major market TV station management company. |

Alex A Campbell: - Board Member Entering the grocery industry in 1956 as a young student, Alex A. Campbell worked his way up to become District Manager for Shop Easy stores in Vancouver. He moved to Vancouver Island in 1973 to open the 49th Parallel Grocery in Ladysmith. In 1977, in conjunction with friend and business colleague Ernie Skinner, he acquired the space vacated by a closing Safeway outlet to open the first Thrifty Foods store which grew to be the market leader on Vancouver Island and expansion to the lower Mainland. Alex A. Campbell has received countless awards for entrepreneurship and extensive community involvement. The Western Canadian food industry bestowed him the Astra Award in 1994, and he was acknowledged as Entrepreneur of the Year in 1997. In 1999, he received the Order of BC, the highest recognition in the province. The Food Industry Association of Canada honored Alex with the Knight of the Golden Pencil in 2000, and Royal Roads University awarded him an Honorary Doctorate of Laws Degree that same year. He is also Chairman Emeritus of Thrifty Foods. |

Brent Sternig: - Board Member Mr. Brent Sternig is the Acting President and CEO of the Innovation and Development Corporation, the University of Victoria's (UVic) Industry Liaison Office. He has over 12 years experience in the area of intellectual property protection, technology licensing and new enterprise development. Mr. Sternig manages a portfolio of over 95 patents and has been involved with the creation of over a dozen spin-off companies. In his role with IDC he is responsible for marketing UVic technologies to the private sector, negotiating University licensing agreements, and developing industrial collaborations. Mr. Sternig has been actively involved in assisting new ventures through mentoring, involvement in BC business plan competitions, and most recently through the creation of a IDC Victoria Angel Forum. He current serves as a director on the boards of five local companies. Mr. Sternig earned his Masters of Business Administration from Royal Roads University in 2003 and his Diploma of Marketing Management from the British Columbia Institute of Technology in 1991. He is a member of the Association of University Technology Managers and the Licensing Executives Society. |

Anthony E.R. Sukow: - EVP Business Development, Co-Founder, & Board Member Following the completion of an applied science degree in Mechanical Engineering in 1997 at Okanagan University College Anthony Sukow worked as a project manager on various engineering and manufacturing projects, including the set-up of a multi-million-dollar fuel-tank-manufacturing facility for Volvo trucks. Subsequent to three years of project management, he returned to the University of Victoria to pursue a degree in Finance and Economics.
