With more than Six Million data points per day spanning 33 eBay categories (recently expanded to include eBay Motors) dating back to 2004 the revelations contained within our eBay market data are tantalizing — and daunting.  This is why AERS, as the sole provider of eBay’s Market Data program, can provide a range of services delivering everything from raw, unfiltered data based on a number of vectors to fully-cleansed listing information derived from heuristic analysis.

This data can be delivered both as a static one-time distribution or on an ongoing basis, even up-to-the-minute via an automated feed.  As usual, geographic and demographic data is a key component in deriving value and digging behind the trends, and sort-order can be specified and tailored to suit customer requirements.

Approaches can be more granularly defined within three groups:

• Raw Data – Individual listing information with no filtering or other processing (can be trimmed to successful listings only)
• Partially Cleansed – Detailed listing information with desired attributes such as shipping, bids, and demographic data de-normalized into single row elements
• Fully Cleansed – Individual listing information with attribute-based heuristics, normalized category and title data, and error-corrected attributes presented in updated catalog format

Getting data in this format is desired for applications where a customer or partner wishes to compare eBay transactional data to outside data sets, product custom analytics, or maintain inside-the-firewall tracking applications.  These can be easily tailored to suit your needs into any format including Excel, XML, or CSV data files.
